All India Major Ports Table Tennis & Carrom Tournament 2022-23
All India Major Ports Table Tennis & Carrom Tournament 2022-23 was inaugurated in New Mangalore Port on 29th November 2022. The three day tournament witnessed participation from 09 major Ports such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Mumbai, Deendayal, New Mangalore, Chennai, Kamarajar, Vishakhapatnam, Paradip & Kolkata Port Authorities.
Nearly 95 players from the above major ports participated in the event which concluded on 01st December 2022. Valedictory program was organized to felicitate the winners of the Tournament on 01.12.2022 at 5:30 pm in BDC Auditorium. Dr. A. V. Ramana, Chairman, NMPA & MPA presided over the function and gave away the prizes to the winners of the tournament. And wished the best to all those who couldn’t achieve victory in the tournament. Shri Padmanabachar, IOFS, CVO, NMPA and Smt Sushma Akkaraju, President, NMP Mahila Samaj, were guests of honour.
Mumbai Port rose as a team champion in table tennis followed by Kolkata Port in second place & Deendayal Port, kandla in third place. In carrom Chennai won the team championship followed by Mumbai port in second & Vishakhapatnam Port in third place. Manoj Verghese from NMPA won only Gold for the Port in Table tennis 45+ men’s category.
Capt. S. R. Pattanayak, President, New Mangalore Port Sports Council welcomed the dignitaries on the dais and congratulated the winners of the tournament.
