Mangaluru, June 28: In a major initiative to promote fitness, health, and community participation among youth, Balipu Runners Club Mangaluru, in association with Fiza by Nexus Mall, Mangaluru, is organizing the “Balipu Nexus Community Run” on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 6:30 AM.
The event is being conducted with the support of JCI Mangaluru and is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from runners, fitness enthusiasts, students, and members of the public.
The event will be inaugurated by JCI India National President Jc RPP Bharath N. Acharya. The Chief Guest for the occasion will be Captain Brijesh Chowta, Member of Parliament, while MLA Shri D. Vedavyas Kamath and MLA Dr. Bharath Shetty will grace the event as the Guests of Honour.
The official event poster was released in Mangaluru by JFS Santhosh Shetty, Zone President, Zone XV, JCI India. Present during the poster release were JFD Ganesh H. R., President, JCI Mangaluru, and the co-founders of Balipu Runners Club, Sohan Raj and Jithesh.
The organizers stated that the Community Run aims to inspire people, especially the younger generation, to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle while fostering community spirit through fitness.
Registrations for the event will commence from July 1, 2026. Citizens of all age groups are encouraged to participate and make the event a grand success.
