Mangaluru: Yenepoya Pharmacy College & Research Centre (YPCRC), Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), celebrated its 5th Graduation Day and Alumni Meet – 2026 at the Yendurance Zone, Yenepoya University. The event was a memorable occasion that brought together graduating students, alumni, faculty members, and distinguished guests to celebrate academic achievements and strengthen alumni relationships.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Ayesha Sultana, Vice Principal, YPCRC, who welcomed the dignitaries, graduates, alumni, faculty members, and other attendees.
The graduation address was delivered by the Chief Guest, Dr. B. Ramesh, Principal and Dean, Sri Adichunchanagiri College of Pharmacy, Adichunchanagiri University, B. G. Nagara, Mandya. In his inspiring address, he encouraged the graduates to uphold honesty and integrity, remain enthusiastic about the pharmaceutical profession, and never give up in the face of challenges. He emphasized the importance of effective communication skills for professional success and encouraged the graduates to maintain strong connections with their alma mater, faculty members, and juniors by actively participating in alumni activities.
During the ceremony, graduates from the Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.), and Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm.) programmes were conferred their original degree certificates. Outstanding students from the respective batches were also recognized for their academic achievements and exceptional performance.
Mr. Jathish N. Sheth, Managing Director, Srushti Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. He explained how India supplies medicines to various countries around the world. He also highlighted India’s achievements in developing several biopharmaceutical and nanotechnology-based products. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance and diverse role of pharmacy in various fields.
The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Gulzar Ahmed, Principal and Dean, YPCRC. He congratulated the graduating students on their accomplishments and encouraged them to apply their knowledge, skills, and values to meet the evolving demands of the pharmaceutical profession. He also highlighted the importance of lifelong learning, professional responsibility, and continued engagement with the institution.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Soumya, Head of the Department and Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, university leadership, organizing committee, faculty members, alumni, students, and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
The 5th Graduation Day and Alumni Meet -2026 marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of Yenepoya Pharmacy College & Research Centre. The celebration honoured the achievements of the graduating students while reinforcing the enduring bond between the institution and its alumni. As part of the alumni recognition, Mr. Mohammed AjzalFayaz, 2018 Batch, was honoured as the Best Alumnus of the Year – 2026 in recognition of his achievements and contributions, bringing pride and distinction to the institution.The event concluded on an inspiring note, encouraging the graduates to pursue excellence, uphold the values of the pharmaceutical profession, and contribute to the advancement of healthcare and society.
